Re: Chimney Cowl Products Blog
by Anonymous
Desperately needing help!. Have spent a fortune trying to get a stove to work. Have invested in two different types of anti down draught cowls and neither work. We live on the top of a hill with valleys surrounding us in all directions. We fitted a double skin rigid pipe (8" to 6") and have used both the spinner cowl and static one with no effect on down draught. We have even extended the height of the chimney by a further 1 metre adding the cowl and still no luck. House is toxic with fumes when we try to light the fire in stove. Is it possible to get a cowl that has a 90" bend on a swivel to go with wind direction? that would fit the pipe described. Fortune spent, funds depleted, patience gone!. Please help.
